Enqadh Humanitarian Foundation Participates in Observing the International Day Against Drug Abuse with the Presence of Governmental, Security, and Social Leaders

As part of its ongoing efforts to combat the scourge of drugs and contribute to building a drug-free society, Enqadh Humanitarian Foundation for Social Development participated in the activities commemorating the International Day Against Drug Abuse on June 26, 2024. This event was organized in partnership with the Drug Control Administration of Marib Governorate, aiming to unite efforts to eliminate this dangerous menace.

The foundation organized a series of awareness and educational activities during the celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse.

These activities included seminars and materials to raise awareness about the harms of drugs on individuals and society, as well as exhibitions distributing leaflets and guidelines to curb the spread of this phenomenon.

The events were attended by the Deputy Governor of Marib, Ali Al-Fatimi, who encouraged the attendees to continue their collaboration and joint efforts to educate the community about the dangers of drugs.

Abdulhakim Al-Qaisi, Director of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor, also delivered a speech urging civil society organizations to participate in awareness campaigns throughout the year in coordination with the relevant government authorities.

The event was attended by the Director of the Governorate Health Office, along with many military and security leaders, social figures, and representatives of civil society organizations. The foundation’s official emphasized the importance of continuing joint community efforts to prevent the spread of drugs and mitigate their negative effects on individuals and communities.

He expressed their aspiration to continue cooperation and partnership with government agencies and relevant institutions to enhance the role of civil society in this field.

In conclusion, the participating entities from the government sector and civil society organizations were honored in recognition of their efforts in this context.
